Things to do This Weekend 11/18 and Kick off the Holiday Season!

The holidays are right around the corner with Thanksgiving less than a week away, Downtown Frederick is the place to get everything you need right in one place!

Start off your weekend by heading to the Weinberg Center for the Arts to hear your favorite top forty hits through the electrifying string trio, Simply Three. From the classics to today’s hits, be sure to head over at 8 pm for a night of fun and entertainment.

Saturday afternoon head to VINI CULTURE Wine Bar and CafĂ© for “Getting to Know You Again.” For $5 Kelly Carbary will be pouring wines that you have always loved but might have forgotten about from 2 pm to 4 pm.

On Sunday, get some local groceries to make your Thanksgiving a little bit fresher at the Frederick City Farmer’s Market! This is the last Sunday of the year to find some local food and artisan goods right in Downtown Frederick. It is open from 9 am to 1 pm.

Get ready to be in the holiday spirit by checking out the Weinberg Center for the Arts to see “Away in the Basement: A Church Basement Ladies Christmas” at 2 pm! Head back in time to 1959 where four church basement ladies are called to save the Sunday school Christmas pageant from disaster.

Don’t want to cook Thanksgiving dinner? Brewer’s Alley Restaurant and Brewery will serve you a three-course dinner and buffet for $29 a person from 11 am to 4 pm.

Ready to shop until you drop? First, be sure to get some breakfast at Brewer’s Alley for their Frosty Friday kick-off meal from 8 am to 10:30 am.

Once your belly is full, it’s time to shop at the annual Frost Friday event! All throughout downtown you will find early late shopping hours, horse-drawn carriage rides, free hot cocoa and s’mores, live music and carolers, and so much more! Check out the business open from 9 am to 9 pm on our website!
