Things to Do This Weekend- 9/8

Looking for something fun to do this weekend? We've got you covered.

Start your weekend on Thursday with the Donegal X-Press at Alive @ Five at the Carroll Creek Amphitheater. The premiere Irish-American roots rock group has cultivated fans throughout the world. This 21 and older event requires a $5 cover fee (but get this- proceeds benefit Downtown Frederick Partnership, Frederick's designated Main Street organization).

On Friday, celebrate women in music and arts and the release of the brand-new issue of Sass Magazine at Goddess Jam at 200 East Art Haus from 6pm- 11pm. Pre-sale tickets are $25. Check out live performances by CassiRaye, The Dirty Middle, Cheshi, and Joy on Fire.

Want to kick back and relax after your week? Check out pianist Natalie Ahearn at Vini Culture Wine Bar from 8pm-11pm.

Downtown Frederick is full of culinary delights. Join Taste Frederick on a three-hour walking tour that gives you the full Frederick foodie experience. In addition to experiencing the flavors of Frederick, learn more about the history, architecture, and culture of the city. The tour runs from 11am-2pm and start at Market and 2nd Street, be sure to purchase your tickets before 10am!

Longtime Frederick tradition In The Street is on Saturday. The day starts with the Market Street Mile and wraps up at night with the always-awesome Up The Creek party. And there's so much in between! Food, vendors, art, history and more! Plus, you'll find entertainment on five different stages, featuring 19 bands from Carroll Creek to 7th Street. Click here for a full line-up of In The Street happenings, brought to you by our friends at Celebrate Frederick.
