This Week: August 8

Getting your week started can be tough, but when the week ahead is filled with excitement, things feel just a little bit easier. Here's a round-up of all the great things you have to look forward to this week in Downtown Frederick.

Tuesday- Levitt AMP Frederick Music Series
Brought to you by the Levitt Foundation, the Levitt AMP Frederick Music Series continues this week with local hip-hop sensation Stitch Early (7:00pm) with opener Straight Up Tribal (5:30pm) at Carroll Creek amphitheater. Bring a picnic, your friends and family, and sit back, relax and enjoy a night of awesome (free!) music on the Creek.

Check out Stitch Early's music video below. See you on Tuesday!

Thursday- Alive @ Five
Classic rockers Cheyenne Canyon Band will take the Alive @ Five stage for week #14 of the series. There will be beer. There will be wine. There will be food. And hopefully, you'll be there, too!

This week, our friends and sponsors from the Rotary Club of Carroll Creek will be taking over! You'll find members of their club serving up beers, selling drink tokens and working the front gate. Say "hello" and a big "thank you" for all they do for Downtown Frederick Partnership and our community!

21+ only; $5 entry fee. Cash and cards accepted. Proceeds from Alive @ Five benefit Downtown Frederick Partnership, and are reinvested right back into projects that make Downtown Frederick a better place. A happy hour you can feel good about!

Check out the full schedule of events here.

Saturday- Best Fest
Celebrate the best Frederick has to offer with the Frederick News-Post! Best Fest features a battle of the bands, local vendors, food and more! The event runs from 1pm and goes 'til 7pm at 200 East Arthaus (the old Frederick News-Post building, 200 E Patrick St). In the meantime, be sure to vote for your downtown favorites here.
