This Week: August 15

We can't do much about this heatwave, but we can make being in it a little more enjoyable. Check out the great things coming up in Downtown Frederick this week.

Tuesday- Levitt AMP Frederick Music Series
Hard to believe as it may be, this is the second-to-last week to catch a Levitt AMP Frederick Music Series concert. We are thrilled to welcome Bob Margolin (7pm), an esteemed Chicago-style blues musician and former Muddy Waters guitarist. Opening for Margolin at 5:30pm is Brave Like Us, a DC-based indie rock duo.

Also, don't miss the Carroll Creek Farmers' Market. From 4:30-7:30pm, stock up on produce for the week or grab a snack to enjoy during the concert.

Levitt AMP Frederick is brought to you by the Levitt Foundation. We are also so grateful for the generous support that comes from Frederick County Public Libraries, Frederick Playlist, the Delaplaine Foundation and Plamondon Hospitality Partners.

Alive @ Five favorite Sticktime is back and ready to rock your Thursday night. And, because we love you, we'll make sure the beer is EXTRA cold to thank you for braving the heat.

Plus, ever wondered how Alive @ Five runs smoothly every week? Our dedicated Alive @ Five volunteers are incredible to say the least- many of them volunteer every single week. So on Thursday, we thank them by giving them a well-deserved night off so they can kick back and enjoy the event as a guest. So, if you see your favorite beer-pourer or token salesperson- be sure to thank them for all they do.

21+ only; $5 entry fee. Cash and cards accepted. Proceeds from Alive @ Five benefit Downtown Frederick Partnership, and are reinvested right back into projects that make Downtown Frederick a better place. A happy hour you can feel good about!
