Its fitness Friday, and a great way to start the weekend! Join us for a fun workout alongside Downtown’s Carroll Creek. The exercises are designed to offer opportunities to push to your max while giving modifications for all fitness levels. All women are welcome!

Watch the children’s book “Camille and Sunflowers” come alive as actors from the Maryland Ensemble Theatre recreate the story in a live, interactive production. A craft activity will follow the performance. More information is available here.

Take a bite out of Frederick’s food scene with a Taste Frederick Food Tour! The Market Street Food Tour takes you through some of Frederick’s historic and cultural gems by way of six delicious tastings from local restaurants and specialty food shops. You’ll taste local favorites including Mediterranean-inspired artisan chocolates, a unique spin on crab macaroni and cheese, and locally brewed beer inspired by colonial Maryland to name a few. Bring a picnic basket, a blanket and spread out on the grassy hillside behind Shab Row for three hours of live music! Still Waiting for Chinese Food is a cover band that plays alternative rock music from the late 90s to present day. They are still waiting for Chinese food, and are playing music until the delivery guy arrives. Intermission interactive entertainment brought to you by the local improv comedy troupe, The Comedy Pigs.

Fabric Altered Book | 3:00 PM- 5:00 PM | 113 West All Saints St
In this class you will cover on old board book with fabric, transfer photos to fabric and add assorted words and/or embellishments to tell a visual story with a bird theme. You will learn the tips and tricks for successful fabric gluing, collaging on fabric, transferring images and more. All you need to bring is a bottle of Elmer’s glue and any fabric scraps you may like to include (fabric is totally optional). Instructor Lesley Riley will provide books, plenty of fabric, image transfers, embellishments and more. If you are looking for a new and unique way to use your photos and preserve memories, this is the class for you.
2016 Summer Concert Series- The Dustbowl Revival | 7:00 PM- 8:00 PM | Baker Park Bandshell
What better way to wind the weekend down than with some outdoor music? Head over to Baker Park to relax and enjoy the summer weather with Celebrate Frederick’s free summer concert series. The Dustbowl Revival is a Venice Beach, CA-based American roots orchestra with eight full-time members, who mash the sounds of traditional American music into a genre-hopping, time-bending dance party that coaxes new fire out of familiar coal. The Dustbowl Revival is not a throwback band. During their performances, the band aims to engage the crowd in a celebration of the sounds that have kept America moving for more than a century, which are rooted in the sweat and swagger of a juke joint song swap. Join Kevin Cole in his weekly comedy show presented by MET-X as he welcomes a panel of comedy writers, actors and special guests to discuss the events of the past week, life and whatever else comes to mind. Admission is free, more information is available, here.
