Join Downtown Frederick Partnership and The Frederick News-Post for a day of fun, celebrating all aspects of vibrant Downtown Frederick.



Skate Jam + Design Showcase


The event kicks off at 2PM as The Frederick News-Post presents the inaugural Skate Jam, featuring a pop-up skateboard park brought to you by Pitcrew. Spend your afternoon perusing the local vendors, watch live art demonstrations, participate in a giant public art project, enjoy local food and drinks (cash bar) and live music!

Inside you can find uniquely designed vignettes created by Downtown Frederick interior design experts and home furnishing retailers (Cannon Hill Antiques, Vintage Mid-Century and Industrial Home), featuring local art. The Downtown Collective gallery will also be featuring artwork curated by downtown galleries.


Get inspired with a mini-color consultation with Patrick Street Interiors design expert and owner, Lydia Baker. Bring photos and swatches and look forward to leaving with ideas for transforming a room with color! These consults will be available at various times on Friday (April 22) & Saturday (April 23) at Patrick Street Interiors (220 E Patrick St).

Fashion Show

Spend your evening taking in all the latest spring fashion trends during The Downtown Collective Fashion Showcase. With doors opening at 6PM & the show starting at 7PM, the showcase will be featuring collections from from some of your favorite downtown shops including: Aspire, Erica Burns DesignsMolly's Meanderings, Silk&Burlap, Velvet Lounge and Zebop, as well as hair and make-up by JKW Beauty. This show will be full of life with music by DJ Two Teks and lighting/sound provided by Kris Lindberg of S3 Productions.

Also, be sure to shop the collections from participating stores before and after the show.

  • National Museum of Civil War Medicine's 20th Anniversary "After Hours" Program | 7:00PM-9:00PM | The Carty Building @ the National Museum of Civil War Medicine | To celebrate it's 20th Anniversary, the National Museum of Civil War Medicine is offering an exclusive access tour of the Carty Building in Downtown Frederick for a special "After Hours" program. Listen to the numerous stories of ghosts and spirits as staff and volunteers share their first-hand accounts of paranormal activity of Civil War embalmers in Frederick's most haunted building.   • Third Annual Americana Music Festival | Friday & Saturday | 7:00PM-9:00PM | Weinberg Center for the Arts | Join the Weinberg as it hosts its third annual two-day indoor Americana Music Festival. The festival is highlighting six bands that embody the roots-oriented genre including the line up of Keller Williams, The Steel Wheels, We Banjo 3, Parsonsfield, The Plate Scrapers, and Tall Heights.
